About Wendy

Wendy Davis was born into a military family and moved to Clarksville, Tennessee in 1979 when her father was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and has called Clarksville home since.   

Fascinated by law and process, Wendy took a job working for an attorney’s office in downtown Clarksville and in 1996 was hired by the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office as a part-time deputy clerk. After only two weeks on the job, she was offered a full-time position because of her professionalism, stellar work ethic, skills, and abilities. Being in a position where she was able to assist people coming into the office that may not how to navigate the everchanging and sometimes complex court system, Wendy thrived.

In 2001 Wendy was offered a new position as an Accounting Technician, ultimately assisting with processing millions of dollars in transactions for the office with a flawless audit record. In October of 2002 Wendy was once again promoted, this time to Chief Deputy. By that time, she had worked in every division of the court. Now Wendy has been with the clerk’s office for 24 years, demonstrating the highest levels of competence and reliability. She’s spent the last 18 years as the Chief Deputy supervising a staff of up to 58 employees. Her office is continually recognized for excellence in performance and customer service.

As a devout Christian and conservative, Wendy prayed for guidance. The next morning, she woke up and knew her path was clear. Wendy will bring her work ethic, reliability, and competence to bear running for the office of Circuit Court Clerk. Her vast experience, unparalleled knowledge and her ambition to learn makes Wendy the clear choice to be Montgomery County’s next Circuit Court Clerk.
